Piggies, Space Ships and more Piggies

Our 4th graders had in-class projects for the Earth Day Recycled Material Art Exhibit and one of the classes has just completed their projects.

This was the first paper mache session we have ever had and the kids worked independently on their creations.

After a short tutorial on how to apply the paper mache and how to turn your idea/design into a "sculpture" the kids worked every day for a week or so on their projects, adding a few more layers and more details as their were going.

Last week they painted their dried creations and the results are super cool and VERY fun!

Congratulations to Mr. Lee and his fabulous group of artists!
I'd love to show case some of these in our up-coming Curtner Art Program Art Show!
