Yeah, we are up and running again, with our own art room, our very devoted volunteers and many, many projects in store we are ready to make yet another art attack on Curtner.
The NEW Kinder kids started their first lesson last week and I am excited to showcase their artist marks as my first post in the school year of 2012/13.
We did a literature-art lesson based on the book "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds.
After reading the intriguing story of Vashti, the kid who said "I can't draw" the kids got handed a white sheet of paper, a colorful circle (aka the dot) and markers and were asked to make THEIR MARK.

Welcome to Curtner Elementary and Room 1 and most of all welcome to Room 17 (our new art room), where magic happens!
Art Attack on Room 1 will be "marked" down in history.
